描写“情绪与感觉”的常用星耀句型(如a mixture of X and Y seized/ surged up inside sb等);

描写思想的星耀句型(A tiny voice whispered in my ears, “X.”);

An A for Mrs.Bartlett

Be yourself and always follow your heart.

我与Mrs.Bartlett 的互动

Mrs.Barlett

An A for Mrs. Bartlett。

Paragraph 1:  I fought back tears as I walked up to Mrs. Bartlett.

(1) But ________ could I contain the tears when I stood in front of her.

(2)   “Mrs. Bartlett, I want to keep company _____ Missy. We are similar. ” I said immediately, _______(convey) that I   was treated unfairly.

(3) At this, the teacher stroked my head and said, “ Karina, I decided your group ____ purpose, ________ you are so excellent, and they    need your help.”
                                                                                    (Mrs.Bartlett

(4) Hearing this, I felt a little _________(relieve).

(5) And ________ her further explanation, I decided to give _____ a try.

(6) ____ the next week witnessed that I made efforts to fit in ______ them.

Paragraph 2:  Halfway through the week, I felt myself enjoying the company of these three misfits.

(1) Despite the fact ______ they are a little strange, they were sincere and funny

(2) Mauro, who was a new immigrant and had difficulty ________(speak) English, was pretty warm-hearted.

(3) And Juliette and Rachel, who dressed themselves _____ a different way just for their own customs, liked sharing stories.

(4) All of them believed in me, and saw me ______ a group leader.

(5) We cooperated actively and ___________, no wonder that we got an “A” for our project.

(6) While my teammates — three “misfits”— enjoyed our victory, a tiny voice whispered in my ears, “You should be friends forever, and this is an ‘A’ for Mrs. Bartlett’s fabulous ____________(arrange).”

Paragraph l

I fought back tears as I walked up to Mrs. Bartlett.  Before I opened my mouth, she gently placed a hand on my shoulder, saying with a knowing smile, “I know what you want, but your group needs you.”  So stunned was I that I couldn’t utter a single world for a moment.  She had seen something in me I hadn’t seen. Suddenly, a mixture of guilt as well as pride seized me. The power of being trusted made me stand straighter.  “I’ll help them.” I replied in a firm voice. I couldn’t believe it came out of my mouth, but it did.

Paragraph 2

Halfway through the week, I felt myself enjoying the company of these three misfits. The project was going smoothly with our joint efforts. Besides, I found out Mauro was struggling with English, Juliette wore long skirts because of her religion and Rachel dreamed to be a fashion designer. They weren’t misfits, just people that no one cared enough about to try to understand — except Mrs. Bartlett. I was lucky to be given a chance to see other people in a new light Mrs. Bartlett gave us an A on that assignment, which should be handed back, for she was the one who truly deserved it.
